History says that it was Adolf Hitler’s desire for the average German people to own a car, that’s why the Beetle was born. It was called the “people’s car” (Volkswagen in German) because it was practical, economical and could fit a husband, a wife and three kids.

I say Kotseng Kuba (Hunchback Car in English), as we Filipinos fondly call it, is one of my favorite wedding props. It is uncommon to use the Beetle for weddings here in the Philippines since it is a really small car. But it is cute and great for photos. There’s nothing like the Beetle’s silhouette to add drama to my favorite subject of all time.
